eReserve Plus will ignore case sensitive titles but punctuation or incorrect punctuation will result in the item being treated as a separate document. If two titles that are from the same edition have different punctuation, they will not be the same (abbreviations and spelling mistakes for example need to be picked up in the document QA review).
Once the item has had QA (file checked and metadata reviewed) applied by the library staff during the review process, any punctuation that has been entered incorrectly or any spelling mistakes should be culled out and the correct metadata will trigger a conflict. If a request comes in and the title is incorrect, then the library staff can search for and select the correct source document in the source document panel and update it to the correct details.
When eReserve Plus checks for copyright conflicts, it will check the Publication, Source Document, Reading, and then the Schedule.
